Jane Caywood willed part of her property to the Westmoreland Conservancy in 2005. Her son and daughter then allowed Westmoreland Conservancy to purchase a 2+-acre parcel adjacent in order to create access to a public road (Hills Church Road), AND donated nearly 6 acres on the west side of Hills Church Road.  Murrysville Community park is adjacent to this reserve (on the east), and links to the King Reserve above Mamont Road via two trail easements: one with Dominion above Tonkin Station, and one with the Shagbark development. This makes the Caywood Reserve the connecting link and centerpiece of the Don Harrison Community Trail: a 5+-mile trail established cooperatively with the Municipality which honors one of our visionary past presidents.
